Hi Colleague, a reminder to register today for the

LNG Christmas Symposium:

A Time To Cerebrate!

Tuesday 5th December 2023 @ 5.30 pm

It’s time to clock-off, and join us again this year for our Christmas celebration of Neuroscience, with Mince Pies aplenty.

Come along on to LJMU’s John Lennon Art & Design Building, at 5:30pm on Tuesday 5th December 2023, without hesitation, deviation or hesitation.

This year’s theme, if you haven’t yet clocked it, is Time Perception!

We’ll be joined by Professor Ruth Ogden (Prof of the Psychology of Time, Liverpool John Moores University), and Professor Rob Lucas (GSK Professor of Neuroscience and Director of the Centre for Biological Timing, University of Manchester).

Registration is free and takes no time at all – but you only have until Sunday 3rd December so don’t waste a second.

Liverpool Epilepsy Research Group Meetings

The Liverpool Epilepsy Research Group are restarting their monthly meetings, kicking off with a Hybrid Meeting on 13th December 2023.

Where: The Walton Centre – Sid Watkins Lecture Theatre & MS Teams.

When: 13th December 2023, 15:45 -16:45.

These meetings are a fantastic opportunity for those interested in epilepsy and epilepsy-related research in Liverpool (and nearby) to meet and discuss ideas, present their work and seek feedback, and learn new research techniques from colleagues and external speakers. It is also a nice opportunity to network and form collaborative and/or supervisory links. Clinicians, non-clinicians, adults, paediatrics, nurses, basic scientists, imaging scientists, statisticians, health data scientists, clinical researchers and clinicians not doing any research, students, and beyond, are all equally welcome and encouraged to attend, at any level. Please also feel free to invite colleagues you think would be interested in attending. We are also welcoming any Public Advisors with an interest in learning about epilepsy research.

For more information, please contact Dr Gashirai Mbizvo.

Also… look out for:

Upcoming Events via the British Neuroscience Association. – The BNA organises, or advertises a number of free & paid events every month, a number of which are virtual and open to all.

And Finally…

Please encourage any new (or old) colleagues with an interest in Neuroscience or Psychology to become LNG Members. As you know, joining takes a couple of minutes, and it’s the best way we have to keep in touch with everyone in our community.

Anything we’ve missed?

Let us know for next time – contact your institution’s LNG committee member, or email admin@lng.org.uk
